The Problem

A 58 year old female presented to my office in search of a definitive solution for her existing dentition. Several teeth needed to be removed due to advanced periodontal disease. Upon completion of definitive periodontal treatment, six implants were placed in her upper arch and three teeth were saved: #'s 3,12, and 15. Due to a hypermobile and unsupported upper lip, a fixed implant supported prosthesis was not feasible

The Solution

After much consultation we decided to go with a combination implant/overdenture in the anterior region, and place Equipoise C & E Precision Crowns on #'s 3, & 12, and an Equipoise Crown on #15.

With both systems working together, the forces would be controlled along the long axis of the teeth. Both systems were designed to carry the load independent of each other; together, function and stability are enhanced even further
